Phone Doodles

 In both New York City and Tomball Harvey always kept colored pencils with a note pad beside his telephone. During long conversations he often absent-mindedly sketched, not really paying any attention to what he was doodling. The subject was often a glamorous woman’s face, complete with full 1930’s makeup and “old movie star” hair style. Thus thousands of sketches flowed forth and many were dated, signed and filed away. They now comprise an archival trove.  Here are a few.
